Peru will join the “Shield of the Americas”, a regional security alliance led by the United States that shares intelligence and cooperates in military operations against drug cartels.

Keiko Fujimori, Peru’s recently elected right-wing leader, announced the move on Thursday after talks with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

Meg Jones, captain of the England women's rugby union team, wants Red Roses players to have access to fertility support and egg freezing.

Speaking to BBC Sport, Jones said: "Why should my opportunity to have a family be taken away from me because I want to pursue my career?"
