We may never know who paid who in the Netflix-Rockstar deal that brought 26 minutes of carefully edited Grand Theft Auto 6 PlayStation 5 gameplay footage to the streaming platform (or for how much… but I bet it was a lot). What we do know is that the plan worked: Rockstar wanted to eventize the release of a trailer that would resonate with longtime fans — or perhaps dormant gamers nostalgic for GTA — and Netflix wanted the explosion of subscriptions, even in the short term.

X has discovered a bot farm network with 200,000 accounts on its platform as part of its Safety team's investigation into suspected inauthentic Chinese accounts. The company announced its findings on its Global Government Affairs page. It said that 200 accounts out of the 200,000 were posting comic strips, images and text about AI data centers in a manner that "could manipulate a legitimate debate about American AI and energy policy."
When the BBC revealed the story last month, Assistant Chief Constable Lynn Ratcliff was asked if there had been any opportunities to stop Greer's offending earlier.
She said: "At this point, and we will keep it under review, there is nothing to suggest that there have been any missed opportunities over the years."
