There aren’t many cars that can truly be considered "teensy-weensy," but the Fiat Topolino can wear that adjective with confidence. Just look at the little guy: so much character packed into a fun-sized package. From its removable doors to its roll-back soft-top roof, the Topolino is meant to put its driver in a Mediterranean beach-holiday mindset.
Expert Tip: If you're looking for a little hatchback with heaps of Italian charm that can actually drive on the highway, take a look at the Fiat 500e, the Topolino's bigger (but still tiny) older sibling.
What's New for 2026?
The Topolino debuted in 2023 for foreign markets, but 2026 will be the first time that Fiat's smallest EV will cross the Atlantic. Will it feature in retirement communities? Golf courses? Beach towns? Who knows?

Pricing and Which One to Buy
EV Motor, Power, and Performance
- EV Motor: 8-hp single motor
- Drivetrain: front-wheel drive
The Topolino comes with a single electric motor making just 8 horsepower and driving the front wheels. The top speed of the base model is capped at 19 mph, but with the optional Street Legal Conversion Kit, the little EV can reach dizzying speeds of up to 25 mph. We haven't gotten the chance to test drive the Topolino yet, but we are eager to do so, and will update this story with driving impressions once we do.

Range, Charging, and Battery Life
- Claimed EV Range: 46 miles
Fiat says to expect a driving range as high as 46 miles per charge. That's not a lot in the context of modern electric vehicles, but given the Topolino's use case as a short-distance urban runabout, 46 miles doesn't seem too shabby. A four-hour charging time is also quoted by Fiat.
Interior, Comfort, and Cargo
First Row: There's no frills inside the Topolino. The plasticky interior offers few creature comforts, but there's a USB-C port for charging your smartphone. The coupe's doors open assymetrically, meaning one has hinges on the rear and the other on the front. The convertible Dolce Vita models go without doors entirely, replacing them with decorative rope.
Cargo Capacity: Storage is limited inside the cabin, but you should be able to get your shopping stowed away inside without much trouble—unless, of course, you've just dropped some major cash at Costco. There is a rear luggage rack available that provides a place to lash on a suitcase or cooler.

Infotainment and Connectivity
- Infotainment: N/A
- Connectivity: N/A
- Audio System: N/A
The Topolino's infotainment offerings are notable because none exist. You don't get a display screen, a radio, Bluetooth, or GPS navigation. What do you get? The luxury of calm and the unburdened nature of unplugging from the digital world.
Safety and Driver-Assistance Features
The Topolino's safety features are minimal, but you do get a backup camera and a pedestrian detection system along with the standard stuff like seatbelts and a rear-view mirror.
- Standard Safety Features: backup camera, pedestrian alert system
