My husband and I live with our college-aged daughter, my mother-in-law, and two of her teen grandchildren — three generations, six people, all in one house.

Trying to accommodate all the different preferences and feed this crew on a budget sometimes feels like navigating a field of land mines. But shopping at Aldi has become a lifesaver with its lower-priced offerings on many of the items we regularly eat, with each trip costing around $100.

Here are a few of the many products I always pick up at Aldi.
