K-pop superstar Yeonjun of TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT) is having a busy summer.

Since the release of his second solo EP, NO LABELS: PART 02, in July, the 26-year-old South Korean artist has been doing extensive promotions in Korea and the U.S. In Korea, his company, BIGHIT MUSIC, held a release party and hosted a pop-up to celebrate the album release. He performed his title track, “Ice Cream,” on all the music shows, securing his first-ever solo music show win on KBS Music Bank. The album debuted at No. 16 on the Billboard 200, No. 1 on the World Albums chart, and No. 4 on Top Album Sales.

Yeonjun then set his sights on doing promotions in the U.S. – particularly in New York City and Los Angeles – in August, before TXT’s headliner performance at this past weekend’s KCON LA. This marks Yeonjun and TXT’s first appearance at KCON LA.

In early August, Yeonjun flew into New York City to perform on Good Morning America on the 5th. He participated in GMA’s Summer Concert Series in Central Park, making history as the second South Korean solo act to do so, after Jung Kook’s performance in 2023. Fans began lining up the day before in the afternoon, with thousands showing up before the sun could even rise, with fans coming from all over the world. Wearing a custom Miu Miu menswear outfit, his setlist included “Vanilla,” “Ice Cream,” “Talk to You,” and “GGUM.”

The next day, Yeonjun performed at the 12th annual Z100 Summer Bash at the Public Square & Gardens at Hudson Yards in New York City. He made history again as the first Korean artist to perform at the event, which drew over 10,000 fans. He performed “Talk to You,” “Vanilla,” “No More Disco,” “Ice Cream,” and the clean version of his latest single, “Fxxking Star.”

After his New York activities, he flew to Los Angeles to begin his week-long press tour, which included a private show for fans, a radio takeover, a fan signing, a Billboard appearance, and a performance at Dodger Stadium before his solo and group performance at KCON LA.

On Monday, August 10, the singer joined 102.7 KIIS-FM and radio personality JoJo Wright at the Helpful Honda Music Lounge for a fun conversation with only a select group of fans (winners of the online contests and Weverse members) in attendance. During the chat, Wright went over the new album, including Yeonjun’s collaboration with dessert brand Loromello to release “Sour Lemon Yogurt,” only at Korean convenience store chain GS25 and yogurt chain Yoajung in South Korea.

On Wednesday, August 12, Yeonjun took over Apple Music to play music he listens to, spending an hour in the studio curating his “chill summer” playlist, including Daniel Caesar, Laufey, and Clairo. Apple Music released the episode yesterday, sharing exclusive images of his time there. He talked about his time in Los Angeles, his favorite places to eat Korean BBQ, and more.

Later that night, Yeonjun was on the Billboard: One Night Only show at the Troubador. The West Hollywood venue is one of the most legendary venues, helping launch the careers of music legends like Elton John and Joni Mitchell. It has also hosted popular artists, including BTS, Billie Eilish, and Harry Styles. The venue was full of fans and industry folks, who witnessed the first performance of “Fxxking Star (Explicit Ver.)” on stage. He also performed Vanilla,” “Ice Cream,” “Baby Wassup,” “Long Way Long Ride,” and “GGUM”

The next day, on Thursday, August 13, retail store Kpop Nara hosted a Yeonjun fan sign – his first ever in the U.S. – with purchase contest winners, who had to submit creative videos using Yeonjun’s hit single, “Ice Cream.” Winners were invited to meet Yeonjun for a fan sign.

Yeonjun then appeared at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles during Korean Heritage Night to perform on a built stage at Centerfield Plaza and throw the first game pitch. Decked out in custom Dodger gear bearing his name and the number 34 (representing TXT’s debut date of March 4), Yeonjun performed five songs: “Vanilla,” “Ice Cream,” “Let Me Tell You (feat. Daniela of KATSEYE),” “Fxxking Star” (Clean Version), and “GGUM.”

Before his Dodger Stadium performance, he reveals to us, "I'm so excited to perform here at the Dodgers game, especially at the Korean Heritage Night. It's my first time throwing a pitch for the LA Dodgers game, so I'm a little nervous but very excited at the same time! It makes the night even more special knowing that we're coming together to celebrate Korean culture, and I'm happy that I get to be a part of that."

During batting practice, Yeonjun met with Dodgers manager Dave Roberts and pitcher Alex Vesia. On the field, Yeonjun met acclaimed Korean American actor Daniel Dae Kim before Yeonjun threw the first pitch to Dodgers pitcher Will Klein.

On Saturday, August 15, during KCON LA, Yeonjun had a special session on the Artist Stage during the day, which was extremely packed – and had to be capped. The screams were deafening. Wearing a simple grey tee, grey pants, and a black beanie, Yeonjun opened with “Vanilla” before welcoming the crowd with a fun photo-time moment, posing for the fans who waited in line for hours to see him.

“Thank you for coming to my very first Artist Stage,” Yeonjun tells the crowd. “Actually, once we really get into it, I’m probably going to get all sweaty and messed up by my makeup. While I’m still looking this good, let’s do some pictures first. Make sure you get some good shots while I’m still fresh.”

Throughout the performance of “Let Me Tell You,” “Do It,” “Long Way Long Ride,” and “Ice Cream,” he played games with the fans – including a Dance Challenge (where the winner won a signed NO LABELS: PART 02 album) and threw signed ping-pong balls in the crowd.

This would be a precursor to his solo M Countdown stage that evening at the Crypto.com Arena, where he opened the show with “Coma.” It created an unexpected frenzy; audiences rushed to their seats to capture a glimpse of the singer. He later appeared with his hair slicked back, white T-shirt, and black pants, performing “Fxxking Star” (Explicit Version), “Talk To You,” and “Ice Cream.” The electrifying performances were high-energy and became a highlight of KCON LA’s M Countdown.

The next night, Yeonjun joined his members as the headline performers for the final night of KCON LA’s M Countdown show. The group was given an hour-long set, where the popular group performed “OX1=LOVESONG (I Know I Love You),” “Back For More,” “Danger,” “Good Boy Gone Bad,” “Deja Vu,” “Anti-Romantic,” “LO$ER=LO♡ER,” and “I’ll See You There Tomorrow,” which the group danced with select fans on the Dream Stage. The group closed the show with “So What.”

Having completed his U.S. solo activities, Yeonjun hinted during the Helpful Honda Lounge event that the group plans on releasing more music soon. TXT are also scheduled to perform as the only Korean artists at this year’s Global Citizen Festival in Central Park in New York City on September 26.
