Let us pretend for a moment that we're successful, captain-of-industry types, not a blogger and a reader killing time at their jobs on the Friday before Memorial Day. We can't be bothered to drive ourselves around on a daily basis. That's what the poors do, and the poors are disgusting. We need to be driven, and being driven requires a certain type of vehicle — a vehicle that puts rear-seat comfort above all else. But since we're incredibly successful captain-of-industry types, we demand the best, and that has led me to today's question.

I want to know what you think the best car to be chauffeured in is. Which big, luxury limo is the best for hauling you around while you're sitting in the back, sipping on a chilled glass of champagne and closing business deals? Actually, I suppose it doesn't have to be a big, luxury limo. If you're the sort of freak who feels a school bus built in 1958 is actually the best vehicle to be chauffeured in, go with God. I'm not going to stop you. I'm going to make fun of you, but I won't tell you it's not allowed.

In this job, I've been very lucky to spend time in the back of some of the best, highest-dollar luxury cars in the world: Bentleys, Rolls-Royces, Mercedes-Maybachs. You name it, I've sampled the splendors of its rear seats. Hell, I've even checked out the rear seats on cars that aren't even out yet, like the Mercedes-Benz VLE and Genesis GV90, both of which are going to be fantastic chauffeur vehicles.

The thing is, none of these are the best chauffeur vehicles, because that honor can only go to one car: the stretch limousine. Yes, I know they've fallen out of vogue in recent years — reduced mostly to taking kids to prom or Italians to their wedding — but I'm telling you, it's time for a comeback. Two of the most important things in a good chauffeur vehicle are space and presence, and what has more space and presence than a 35-foot-long Lincoln Town Car with a turning radius the length of an aircraft carrier? Literally nothing.

Look at Kevin McCallister above. No one looks happier than him in that limo, and no one looks like he's more wrapped in luxury.
