Legendary Googler Jeff Dean is starting his own AI company.
On Wednesday, Dean, Google's chief scientist, announced that he and three other colleagues were leaving to start Discovery Loop, an AI startup focused on AI applications in science and engineering.

“I wasn’t really a very successful child actor, thankfully,” says actress Ella Rubin.
Despite what the 24-year-old has to say about the fruitfulness of her childhood career, she was arguably the most prepared child actor a casting director could come across. Rubin had a calling card, of sorts, as a young performer. She’d show up to auditions with a metal briefcase in hand. Well, she clarifies, it was actually an art kit carrying case that had previously held watercolor paints.

Lionsgate’s Motion Picture segment revenue of $587.3 million more than doubled from the prior-year quarter. The segment profit was up from a nominal $2.4 million in the year-ago period. The company said the results were driven by the success of recent theatrical releases, including “Michael,” the highest-grossing biopic of all time that has crossed $1 billion at the global box office, and strong “ancillary” performance of “The Housemaid,” starring Amanda Seyfried and Sydney Sweeney.

Naughty, naughty!
What do we want? The ability to be evil in video games! How do we want it? Designed in a way that's mechanically enriching! That's what I'm hoping Arise Dark Lord will be, anyway, a Frankensteinian mish mash of action, real-time strategy, tower defence and base building where you are an evil overlord who rules over a nefarious army and wants to kill all humans.
