It's been well over 80 years since the final days of World War II and yet we're still uncovering newfound relics from its wartime trenches. Global warming has been ever-so helpful in our efforts, as dropping water levels–like in the Danube most recently–has revealed wartime materials and machines like this German war courier bike in early August. Luckily, the motorcycle's watery Hungarian grave was able to preserve it and many other items discovered around it, but mysteries as to how it got there and why remain unanswered, at least for now.

Gerard Butler makes even the dumbest disaster epic into a masterpiece

There are few modern action stars as perfectly suited to disaster movies as Gerard Butler. He’s spent much of his career occupying that sweet spot between movie-star charisma and barely contained panic: the guy who can throw a punch, bark an order, save a president, and look genuinely horrified when everything around him starts exploding. Zack Snyder’s 300 made him an icon, Antoine Fuqua’s Olympus Has Fallen turned him into one of the great modern American action heroes, and Ric Roman Waugh’s Greenland proved he could sell the terror of an ordinary person caught in an extraordinary catastrophe. Even when Butler is dealing with material that's completely ridiculous, he has a way of making it feel like the stakes couldn't possibly be higher.
